Indie twin sisters Tegan and Sara Quin have done it again. With Sainthood, the girls have managed to create an album infused with everything fans love about them. Centered around the ups and downs of relationships, the lyrics and melodies reach into the listener’s heart and pulls out every shred of emotion to wear on their sleeves.
It is that time of year again where people gather to listen to artists bare their souls in the form of poetry. During the weekend of October 15, the Massachusetts Poetry Festival is taking place. Launches are taking place all over Massachusetts, including our own city of Lowell.
Everyone remembers their best and closets friends from high school. Nothing is better than reminiscing about times spent together. The night of October 4, a multi-media concert was held at the Eliot Presbyterian Church in honor of Jack Kerouac’s relationship with his best friend Sebastian Sampas.
Ready, steady, debate! On Tuesday, April 7 the Student Government Association held a debate in Alumni Hall. The two opponents, Dave Koffman and Michael Reid, are running for the SGA trustee position.

Whether your niche is art or you are looking for a club that helps to expand your horizons, then the newly reformed Art History club may be the place for you.

On April 2, the Gender Studies program along with the Center for Women and Work, the Counseling Center, and the Dean of Students brought to Cumnock Hall the InterACT Performance Troupe.
Many people are familiar with Hampton Beach in the summer and all the components that go with it: crowds, hot sand, and overpriced food. Early spring offers a side of Hampton that is peaceful and serene. It may be cold and the water frigid but the beach is wide open for exploration.
The UMass Lowell community better get their listening ears ready for April 25 because for the first time in recent history, an evening of big band will be coming to the Durgin Concert Hall.
